In Turkey, April 23 is National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, which means solemn ceremonies and children’s festivals. Many Turks attend local ceremonies and lay wreaths at monuments of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. He dedicated the country to children.
